The hiking trail begins at Dunga Gali and leads to Mushkpuri Top. Make sure to bring an umbrella, a hiking stick, proper hiking shoes, plenty of water, and some snacks. Hiking sticks can be rented for about Rs. 50 each. In winter, advisable to wear socks inside out over your shoes to prevent slipping. October 18, 2024The trail leads to the first peak, with three more peaks beyond. The first two peaks are accessible in winter, while all four can be reached in summer. There are stalls along the way and at the top selling juices, water, and dry fruits. Please note that there are no washroom facilities on the trail or at the top.
September 19, 2024Mushkpuri is an ideal destination for a day hike. On clear days, the Mukshpuri tops offer stunning views of Azad Kashmir. The trail begins at Dunga Gali and winds up the hill to the flat summit. It is an excellent location for a family visit or a hiking adventure, especially when it snows.
September 8, 2024During my recent hike to Mushkpuri on March 28th as part of a university trip, we set out from the University of Islamabad at 9:30 AM. And reached the Amore Hotel in Nathia Gali by 11:30 AM. After ordering lunch, we began our hike toward Mushkpuri. I found the hike to be of moderate difficulty. However, since the area was covered in snow, the ground was quite slippery, so it is best to cover your
September 5, 2024For a different experience, I suggest starting the hike from Nathiagali on the western side of the mountain. This route is 4 kilometers long and is less crowded, although it is longer and more difficult than the Dunga Gali route. You can take the Dunga Gali route back, as it is shorter and less challenging.
